Total Relaxation is designed to allow you to relax anywhere and at any time. Just put on your headphones, close your eyes and let the alpha binaural beats do all the work.

The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it — Sydney J. Harris

You listen to the sound of gently breaking waves. There may be a faint pulsing sound from the binaural beats. Just close your eyes and relax. It’s ok to lie down if you want to, and do not worry if you fall asleep.

At first you are taken into a light state of relaxation to help release the mental activity of the day. Then gradually you go deeper until you are deeply relaxed. The audio ends after 20 minutes.

You may feel slightly spaced-out while listening, this can happen with the release of mental tension, if so just allow yourself a few minutes rest after the audio finishes before getting up.

Relaxation is the antidote to stress. Giving yourself time to relax can drastically reduce stress levels in your body, and optimize your health in general.

Research shows regular relaxation improves health,. You can expect better sleep, fewer headaches, more energy and improved concentration. The proven health benefits include better emotional balance and reduced risk of a stroke or heart attack.

This audio should not be used while undertaking activity. Stereo headphones are required.

Total Relaxation — Further Information

The initial binaural beats rate is 10.5 Hz gradually settling on 7.83 Hz, where it holds until the 20 minutes is up.

7.83 Hz is referred to as the Schumann Resonance and is one of the Earth’s natural (electromagnetic) frequencies. This frequency also sits very deep in alpha waves, the brainwave state of relaxation.

The background sound on Total Relaxation is Seaside Ambience by Björn Lynne, licensed by Shockwave sound.

The white noise created by breaking waves helps to block out any distracting noise and increases the effectiveness of the binaural beats.
