Mountain Stream

Post ID: 1667 | April 30th, 2012 | 3 Comments

Mountain Stream is the sound of crystal-clear water trickling playfully between rocks, with occasional birdsong. Relax, meditate or fall asleep to the wonderfully soothing sound of gently flowing water.

A twenty-minute oasis of peace to lift your mood.

20 minutes of continuously flowing water. Recorded deep in the forests of southern Norway with no unnatural sounds to disturb you.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting by a sparkling mountain stream.

Sunshine dances on the water and warms your skin. Do you see the water sparkling in the sunlight? Can you smell the fresh scent of the forest? Let your imagination run free and let the sound of water lull you into meditation. In this place there is no stress, only gentle movement.

Deeply relax and allow the crystal clear water to cleanse your mind. Let your thoughts just wash away. Emerge refreshed and revitalized.

Mountain Stream is perfect for relaxation or meditation. It can also help your children fall asleep when they feel restless.

Mountain Stream — Further Information

Norway has one of the longest and most rugged coastlines in the world, and some 50,000 islands. It is one of the world’s most northerly countries, and one of Europe’s most mountainous. Natural vegetation in Norway varies considerably, as can be expected in a country covering such a variation in latitude.

Large differences in altitude, topography, climate and soil give rise to different natural environments ranging from broad-leaved deciduous forest in Southern Norway to arctic environments in the North. Forests and other wooded land cover approximately 37 per cent of the Norwegian mainland.

Mountain Stream is a continuous, uninterrupted stereo soundscape with no looping, using only 100% nature sounds. Reproduced here under license from Shockwave Sound.
