Good-quality sleep is necessary for good health. Lack of sleep can cause many health problems in addition to making us feel tired, irritable and depressed.
Good sleep habits are key to a good nights sleep, and it is possible to train ourselves to fall asleep quickly (just as it is possible to do the opposite).
This soundtrack is of benefit to anyone experiencing difficulty sleeping. You can use it as often as you like to re-establish a regular sleep-pattern, or just whenever you need a power-nap.
Power Nap is designed to gently reduce your mental activity; taking you into deeper, more silent levels of the mind. As your mind relaxes so your body will also relax, and with no mental or physical tension to keep you awake, you naturally fall into a deep and restful sleep.
You hear the sound of gentle rainfall and may become aware of a faint humming or pulsing sound. After some time the sound of rain gives way to a deep resonant pulse, fading to silence over the final minutes. This simple and beautiful, yet profundly effective, binaural beat audio contains no sudden changes of sound or volume.
Lie down or otherwise make yourself ready, using earphones that are suitable for sleeping. The binaural beats do all the work for you so you don't need to do anything, just allow yourself to drift away.
This audio has been custom-made for inducing sleep and should not be used while undertaking activity. Stereo headphones are required.

The initial beat rate is 10.5Hz (light, non-focussed relaxation) gradualy falling to 6.0Hz (dreaming, or REM sleep) and then down to 2.50Hz (delta, the brainwave frequency of deep sleep) where it holds for the duration.
The background sound on Power Nap is Relaxing Rain Ambience by Björn Lynne, licensed by Shockwave sound.
The pink noise created by falling rain helps to block out any distracing noise and increases the effectiveness of the binaural beats.
